Cooked oat with fruits for breakfast

If you like hot food in the morning this can be a perfect choice.

Cooked oat with fruits for breakfast:

This is one of my favorites when I want to have something hot. It takes a bit longer (~10 minutes) to prepare and making is also very simple as usual.

Ingredients:

3 cups water

1 cup rolled oats

1tbsp unprocessed honey

1 sliced banana

Preparing:

Mix water and oats in a saucepan and bring it to boil, stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for 6 minutes or until thick. Make sure to thoroughly stirring so its cooked evenly

Remove from heat

Top each serving with sliced banana and honey

Food value:

This meal is around 475 calories. If you want to reduce calories further, you may reduce amount of oats or banana.

Alternate option:

You may skip honey and add salt instead. If you do so, don’t include fruit directly, you may take it separately. If you do so, you may reduce 60 calories from this serving.
