Meal planning and gross grocery:
As I worked during the fat-burning process, without healthy food, I could not control my cravings for food. My body always wanted more and more nutrients, but if I relied on junk and unhealthy food, I could not get all those nutrients required for my body. As a result, my body asked for more and more food; eventually, I had to consume more calories, and the end result was increased body fat. If you want to follow my way, no matter how many meals you plan to take, you need to plan ahead what to eat, how you want to eat, and what amount to eat. My experience here is, if you rely mostly on restaurant food, you will fail in this process. The reason is simple: restaurants want you to eat more and more, and very few of them focus on your nutritional requirements. At the same time, if you plan to eat some type of meal that you don’t like, no matter what the food value is, you won’t like to eat it. For example, I don’t like melon. I know melon is very good food, but I excluded it from my meal and added some other kinds of fruits to my daily routine.
To eat healthy food, you most likely need to prepare, carry if required, and consume the way you planned. At this moment, you may feel this is too much time and effort. But if you neglect this part, all your efforts to reduce fat and look amazing will not happen. On the other hand, once you make this approach a habit, it won’t be much of an issue for you. Some crazy things happened to me during this process. I suggest you check my mistakes and way of recovery so you don’t make them in the first place.
1. Make a list of what you want to buy to prepare meals. This will help you become disciplined about making food.
2. Never go to the grocery store on an empty stomach. If you do so, you will provoke yourself to ignore the first point. You will end up buying high-calorie, low-nutrient foods like potato chips or high-sugar, chocolate-coated biscuits. You will keep them in your pantry or desk, and they will quickly crawl into your stomach.
3. You need to understand that the junk and fast food industry is actually a billion-dollar industry. So they make the packaging very attractive and yummy, placing them in middle aisles at eye level. They are smart people and know how to influence you to buy these even at the supermarket. On the other hand, you will find healthy food, for example, eggs, rice, flour, raw fish, and chicken, at the very end of the store.
4. As I was working, I did not have time to go grocery shopping every week. But this is a very minor issue now as you can buy literally everything online, and they will deliver it to your doorstep.
If you can follow these smart ways, your kitchen will be full of healthy foods, and you will start enjoying them.
